Greetings from the North woods! Well, the January Thaw is history and the mercury is holding a little above zero this morning with a fresh coating of snow once again covering up the brown remnants of previous storms. I made sure to rake the roof right away so as not to have a repeat of the ceiling damaging leaks of a couple of weeks ago. The noise of the rake on the roof sent my dog into a frenzy since apparently the sound from inside is akin to thunder. Plus, I earned myself a trip to the physical therapist for my shoulder, but the roof won’t leak and the wife will be happy.

And with temperatures set to plummet this month, they’ve warned homeowners that these rodents will now be seeking shelter indoors. The summer of 2013 saw lower rainfall than previous years and less flooding, allowing rodents to stay in their burrows longer and have undisturbed periods where populations grew. They now expect rats and mice to cause problems in Britain’s homes after their numbers grew ‘exponentially’. Female house mice can give birth to litters of up to 14 young, as many as ten times a year. David Cross. PeeMan’s Gotta Have Hobbies – Airstream Refurbish Post #1

Howdy!

In earlier posts, I alluded to my current non pee-related project – my metal beauty – vintage Airstream International Land Yacht – just typing it gives me the chills. Well, this project began in the fall of 2012, was briefly interrupted when I had a heart attack(look for future blog posts on my personally developed heart healthy, low sodium menu), and has been kicked into high gear in the last month or so. My goal is to refurbish her in a manner consistent with the vintage quality, but I am not a stickler, and I won’t be searching for months for some authentic Airstream toilet bowl handle. My family knows that minutiae is not my strong suit. I am a big man – 6ft. 7in., and I have big ideas and tackle big projects, but I never sweat the small stuff. Anyway, enough talk. Check out the before pictures:
